ANUA PDRN Serum Review | Hyaluronic Capsule Glow 100+ Serum, My Honest Take

If you have spent any time on skincare social media this past year, you have probably seen this little green bottle. The ANUA PDRN Hyaluronic Acid Capsule Serum sat near the top of Olive Young’s 2025 annual and best-seller rankings, and the hype was hard to miss. I finally picked mine up during the November and December sales on Olive Young Global, where hitting the minimum spend gets you free shipping to Hong Kong.

ANUA PDRN Serum: Product Info

The ANUA PDRN Hyaluronic Acid Capsule Serum pairs PDRN, one of the most talked-about ingredients in skincare right now, with hyaluronic acid and collagen. The formula is built for deep hydration, works across all seasons, and leaves skin with a healthy glow.

The Triple Core Ingredients

Three ingredients do the heavy lifting here, working together for strong hydration and plumper-looking skin.

  • PDRN (salmon DNA): Derived from salmon DNA, PDRN helps stimulate the cells that produce collagen, supporting skin regeneration and elasticity while calming redness and boosting moisture.
  • 11 types of hyaluronic acid: A blend of high, medium and low molecular weights that hydrates every layer of skin from the inside out.
  • Collagen: Helps repair the skin barrier and maintain elasticity.

The serum also uses the brand’s patented BOOSTSOME™ capsule technology, which wraps the active ingredients in liposomes so they can penetrate safely into the deeper layers of skin for maximum effect.

Who It’s Best For

This serum suits a few skin types especially well:

  • Anyone whose skin still feels dry and tight even after layering hydrating serums
  • Anyone noticing fine lines or the early signs of dehydrated, aging skin
  • Anyone whose skin looks dull and lacks radiance
  • Anyone chasing that long-lasting, dewy glass-skin finish

How to Use

You can use it morning and night.

  • Daily care: After toner, take a small amount and gently pat it across your skin to absorb.
  • Night care: Layer 2 to 3 coats in place of a sleeping mask for plump, hydrated skin by morning.
  • Before makeup: Mix 1 to 2 drops into your foundation for a natural, glowy base.
  • Always follow with SPF 30 or higher during the day.

ANUA PDRN Serum: My Experience

The one I bought on Olive Young is the 30ml x 2 set, which is one 30ml full-size bottle plus a 30ml refill, for HKD 125.

Watsons in Hong Kong also carries it, but as a 30ml serum + 30ml moisturiser set priced at HKD 199. I have not tried the ANUA PDRN moisturiser myself, but if you want to test a few different products, or you have just run out of moisturiser, that set is a good option.

Using It in Hong Kong

Honestly, even during a Hong Kong winter, it felt a little heavy on me, and my skin was noticeably oily the next day. You would probably need to use it only on the very coldest days, when the temperature gets closer to Korea’s, to really enjoy it. For a Hong Kong summer, I would absolutely not recommend this one.

Using It in Vancouver

Vancouver weather, on the other hand, is perfect for this PDRN serum, especially in winter. Morning or night, it never felt sticky going on, and on days when my skin was extra dry I would layer on a second coat for more hydration. I have dry skin, so winter leaves me even more parched, which means the serum absorbed quickly and the moisturiser on top never felt greasy. If anything it sealed everything in better, and my skin felt smooth to the touch.

Patting it in on a dry Vancouver winter morning.

My skin’s bounce and plumpness did improve. Smoothing out fine lines, though, I could not really see a difference. That may be because it only works on genuinely fine lines. My forehead lines did not budge at all, so do not pin your hopes on this serum for wrinkles.

I also tested wearing makeup over the ANUA PDRN serum in the morning, and neither liquid foundation nor cushion compact pilled or flaked, which I was really happy about.

Final Thoughts

Overall, the ANUA PDRN green-bottle serum is a great match for Vancouver weather and dry skin, and it is easy to grab from Olive Young or Stylevana. If you are in Hong Kong, think about your own skin type before buying, and ideally try it at a counter first to see if it works for you.
